PCR cabinet

The Titan PCR is a compact work station and a true vertical laminar flow cabinet with built in UV-light. With its small foot-print the Titan PCR is easy to place on existing lab benching and can also be easily removed and stored when not in used.

The UV-light ensures inactivation of RNA/DNA contaminants within a few minutes and is a safe way to achieve reliable and consistent results during daily PCR procedures. True laminar airflow with sterile air better than class 100 eliminates the risk of cross-contamination whilst working and ensures no contamination within the work area.

The high working aperture, clear polycarbonate side windows, low noise level and excellent lighting make the Titan PCR a pleasant work station for the operator.

The low energy consumption and the digital control system combines convenience with savings on energy and expensive UV- light tubes and HEPA-filters.

An optional electrical elevation stand creates a flexible working height with excellent ergonomics for correct operator posture in either the sitting or standing position.

Fortuna vertical laminar flow cabinets benefit from the following key technical features:

A high angled front window allows unhindered observation of the work area and provides an ergonomically correct working position when seated. Additionally, glass side windows, a glare free powder coated rear wall, and fully adjustable diffused lighting (0-2000Lux) provide optimum user comfort. The adjustable lighting has obvious advantages for light sensitive applications.

Diffused laminator technology provides excellent down flow uniformity (+/-10%) plus shadow free light distribution throughout the work area.

Digital fan technology in conjunction with high capacity 11cm-deep HEPA-filters allow the cabinet to work at very low noise levels of less than 52 dB(A).

In addition to low noise levels the digital fans are extremely energy efficient with the cabinet running on only 0.7 Amp. By using minimal electricity, heat generation is significantly reduced and further savings can be made on room air cooling.

The versatility of the Fortuna cabinet design makes it ideal for weighing applications, allowing accurate weighing to 4-5 decimal places or, with the addition of an optional anti-vibration plate, down to 6 decimal places. All cabinet functions can be viewed from either a seated or standing position without interruption of work procedures.

Additional applications include work with fermenters and robotic work stations where the work surface can be lowered and the depth of the cabinet increased. Optional heated and / or cooled work surfaces with built in microscopes make the Fortuna the preferred choice for many IVF applications. A built in UV light with timer on the rear wall in conjunction with a front closure plate make the Fortuna ideal for PCR work. Further applications include microelectronics (with ULPA-filters), contact and optical lens production, instrument servicing along with plant tissue culture and microbiology.
